    3.  Can I transfer last year's employee and payer data for use this year?

Absolutely. All employee and payer data is easily transferred from DONA's 2008  T4 Printer Program.

    4.  Can I print on plain white paper?

Our software allows you to print to either plain white paper or government laser forms. However, each government has its specific rules concerning remittance of slips by paper. The program's help file contains more detailed information.

Both the provincial and federal governments accept the forms generated by our program.

    5.  Can I print labels with your program?

Yes, DONA's T4 Printer Program 2009 has an integrated label program.

    6.  Is it possible to remit by diskette with your program?

Yes, our T4 Printer Program allows you to remit your slips by diskette to both the provincial and federal governments.

    7.  What do I do if I need help with your program?

The program has a comprehensive HELP file which answers most questions.

Technical assistance for installing the software is included. DONA also offers technical support on-line as well as by fax or telephone for more specific questions you might have concerning the T4 Printer Program.

   8.  How can I order the T4 Printer Program?

All of our 2008 customers will receive a re-order form.

If you would like to receive software on CD by courier, you may place your order by phone or by fax. Shipping charges of $20.00 will be applied.

    9.  How do I change the "TO" datapath when importing last year's data?

     12.  I'm having trouble with printer alignment. Any tips?

On Alignment screen, whatever values you input for horizontal or vertical movement are saved in memory per type of form printed. So even though zeros are displayed on screen, once you have found correct alignment values for that particular form, they are kept and used as parameters for printing. Do NOT re-enter them for these values are cumulative!

     13.  Why can't I see the whole screen?

The software is designed to be viewed at a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels. Under Windows 95/98/2000/XP, you can change the display resolution as follows:

1.  Click on START button

2.  Click on Settings

3.  Click on Control Panel

4.  Double-click on Display

5.  Click on last tab - Settings

6.  Change display size in screen area

     14.  Does your software allow remitting T4's via the internet?

DONA's software allows you to remit slips electronically via the internet with both Revenue Canada and Revenue Quebec. For further information, see the following:

Revenu Quebec

     15.  Why does the word "Demo" print on all my forms?

Once you purchase the software, you are given a  password. This password must be entered in the T4 program in order for the word "Demo" to disappear. Go to File menu, choose Password menu item, type in password and click on SAVE button.

     16.  How do I print a Relevé 1 for my T4A employee?

You must use the menu item T4 Employees under the Browse menu if you require both a T4A and a Relevé 1. Add new employee information and go to third tab titled T4A to enter financial data for federal and fourth tab titled Quebec to enter provincial data.

     17.  Is it possible to back up my data with your program?

Yes. Under File menu, choose Transfer Data option and modify FROM and TO datapaths using button to right of each line. For example, to back up to a diskette, make sure FROM datapath indicates where this year's data is currently stored and modify TO datapath to indicate your floppy drive, usually A:\.

     18.  Can I install your T4 software on a network?

No. Our T4 software is a stand-alone program. It must be installed on your local hard drive. However, you may keep your data on a network drive.

     19.  Can your software import data bases from other applications?

No.

     20.  The form itself is not printing, only the data. Why?

On Printing T4 Slips screen, you must change the Form Data option to show Laser - Plain Paper. With this option, the whole form will be generated for you.

On Printing RL-1 Slips screen, the employee copy must be checked in order for the serial number to be generated for the first time.
